The next place I look, after Amazon, is on Ebay. I have a general idea what I'm looking for, so now I start looking for some really hot deals. I've saved so much money buying things on Ebay it's amazing. I might not find a good buy the first time I look, but eventually I ALWAYS get what I'm looking for (and for a great price!). So you can check out Ebay too and maybe you'll be able to find a real bargain out there for you and your best friend!

Pet carriers are used, obviously enough, to transport our pets. But there’s more to them than just getting a carrier and putting your pet in it. There are some things you should look for when buying a pet carrier. First of all, they should carry your pet comfortably and safely. If you’re thinking about getting an inexpensive pet carrier, be aware it probably will not hold up to much traveling, and again, the first consideration should ultimately be of your pet.

Here are some features that pet travel experts recommend:

• The handles are reinforced and balanced. Padded shoulder straps also help by freeing your hands.
• No loose parts inside that might cause choking
• A sturdy bottom and sides
• There should be plenty of ventilation, even when the  carrier is closed
• The interior should have enough room so you pet can turn around and roll over
• The carrier should be made of non-toxic materials that can be easily cleaned
• There’s a storage space for pet treats and toys
• The sides are padded to protect your pet

I've loved dogs all my life and have always had large breeds, but a friend got a bichon and I absolutely fell in love with it. They are definitely one of the cutest dogs around. Their faces are so intelligent looking and they're just, what can I say, adorable!

So I ended up getting Tiki and we are a perfect match. One problem I have is that I do a fair amount of traveling, and I would love to take Tiki with me. Then I thought, 'why not?'. He's certainly not the 85 pound dog I've always had, and many hotels would not give a second thought to having a guest with a 10 pound dog (it was sometimes a problem, though, when I had Max!).

So my quest began looking for dog carriers. A pet carrier purse would be perfect, Tiki would always be with me, and there are even airline approved purse carriers. So, as always, I started looking on Amazon. I've never looked for something and not found it on Amazon, and it's just a great way to get started to give you a feel of what's available.
